Selling your wedding dress
Jan 9th, 2008 by Keith Finley
Here’s a free tip.
Many of our clients get their dresses cleaned and preserved in order to resell them. Not a bad idea for those who don’t anticipate passing on their dress to a daughter. Or for those that don’t want to keep it for memories’ sake.
Often, a bride is looking to recover some of the cost they spent on their dress. Besides Ebay, there is a great site to do this. Preownedweddingdresses.com has an amazing selection of wedding dresses. Many of our clients’ use this site and have reported happy experiences back to us. Dresses seem to sell for higher amounts than is found on Ebay.
I’d say that’s a win-win for our clients.
Marla,
The price for cleaning and preservation is $189.00. Cleaning is a part of the preservation process. Cleaning flushes out all residues that may cause stains, or yellowing to appear after years of storing. No chemicals are left in dress after preservation so the dress may be worn anytime. Shipping is free.
Best wishes,
Jim Parham
What is your pricing schedule for cleaning and preserving a wedding dress. What is the difference between cleaning the dress and having it preserved? Can you also include cost of mailing?
Thank you,
Marla
